A few months ago I launched ForoFox with a clear focus: create a clean and useful buy & sell community for people in Latin America. The idea was simple — a place where Spanish-speaking users could buy and sell safely, without the noise and complications of bigger platforms.
It worked. People joined, posts started appearing, and a small but active community began to form.
But there was a limitation that became more and more obvious over time.
Language.
Whenever someone from another country tried to join or asked if they could participate, the answer was always the same: the forum was only in Spanish. That restriction made sense at the beginning, but it also meant we were closing the door to a lot of potential users.
With the latest update, that door is now open.
ForoFox now includes automatic real-time translation across the entire platform. The system detects the visitor’s language and translates everything — menus, posts, titles, private messages, and more. Users can also manually switch to any language they prefer at any time.
This means someone can write a post in German, French, Italian, or Portuguese, and another user will see it in their own language. The original content stays intact, while each person experiences the forum in the language they’re most comfortable with.
The goal was never to abandon the Latin American community.
The goal was to remove unnecessary barriers.
ForoFox is still the same project at its core, but it is no longer limited by language. Anyone, from any country, can now join and participate without restrictions.
